Volunteer help
Are you a young college graduate looking for an exciting opportunity to spend a year abroad? Join us at Bocas Academy and become a vital part of our community! As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to help grow our student body and organize a variety of events and activities. You’ll be responsible for scheduling snorkeling trips, engaging outings to the Smithsonian, camping trips to watch sea turtles, and much more. While you’ll need a work visa to work in Panama, our exchange program offers housing accommodations for your volunteer help. We’ll be here to guide you with the listed activities, and you’ll have the freedom to arrange and fundraise for the student body, ensuring they get the full experience of studying on the beach. We’d love to have you build and grow with us – come and be a part of something amazing!

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has a passion for exploring the world and recognizes the evolving landscape of education. While we value structure, we also believe in guiding children towards developing their own self-structure. To apply, you must commit to a contract from August through May and be available from 8:30 – 2:30 Monday – Thursday. Additionally, you should be flexible on Fridays for school trips, planned outings, labs, and learning new things. We envision a world where children can pack their education in their laptop and join daily Zoom calls or message their learning coach on WhatsApp, allowing them to continue their education while traveling with their parents. Our story
Bocas Academy was founded by parents who sought not only the best education for their children but also the freedom to travel and explore the world. These parents envisioned an educational model that would allow their children to thrive in new environments and have access to quality education no matter where they were in the world.
At Bocas Academy, we offer the flexibility to have a classroom social atmosphere, where students can study with a group of friends, plan trips, experience lab days, join lacrosse, and play beach volleyball, all while receiving the highest level of education. We believe that learning should be an enriching and enjoyable experience, and our unique approach combines academic excellence with a dynamic and engaging environment.
