   • Bocas Academy starts at 8:30 to accommodate students traveling from other islands and ends at 2:30, allowing time for extracurricular activities such as surfing, basketball, jujitsu, snorkeling, or spending more time at the beach with their families. Bocas Academy offers a learning coach from Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 to 2:30. Students are self-paced in their learning environment with teachers available online. This setup allows students to ask in-person questions, be coached at home, and find the information they need to learn under direction.Fridays at Bocas Academy are optional, but students have the opportunity to take advantage of CAD programs, 3D printing, Hydroponics, and an Introduction to Entrepreneurship if they choose to attend.
7. How can parents get involved in the Bocas Academy community?
   • Bocas Academy is a unique parent-run “school” where parents play a crucial role in the education and enrichment of their children. While our students attend a school-type environment, the concept is much more than that. Parents are actively encouraged to collaborate and organize a variety of activities such as field trips, yoga sessions, scuba diving, and other opportunities to enhance the learning experience. This collaborative approach ensures that the educational experience at Bocas Academy is rich, diverse, and tailored to the interests and needs of our students

8. How can parents ensure their kids are getting an education on the same level as their peers around the world?
   
   Although the name Bocas Academy may give a sense of brick and mortar or a traditional way of thinking, students and parents have full control over the child’s education once the online program is purchased

   The program belongs to the parents and the student.

   Parents are able to check their grades, daily assignments, progress, and advancement anytime of the day by logging on

   They will know firsthand if the child needs extra tutoring, if a subject does not make sense to the child, or if a subject is extra easy.

   The curriculum is held by accredited universities, so parents will even be able to see the notes that the teachers give them, read on their progress, and know firsthand how their child is excelling.
